IU sophomore forward Thomas Bryant will enter the 2017 NBA Draft, per an ESPN report by Jeff Goodman.
Bryant will reportedly not hire an agent, which allows him to return to IU if he chooses. If invited, he can participate in the NBA Combine from May 9-14 and will have 10 days after the combine to make a decision whether or not to stay in the draft.
Bryant averaged 12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past season in 34 games for the Hoosiers. The Third Team All-Big Ten honoree shot 38.8 percent from three-point range and 73 percent from the free throw line.
As a freshman in the 2015-16 season, Bryant averaged 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and was also named Third Team All-Big Ten. The high school McDonald’s All-American attended Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
Bryant joins junior guard James Blackmon Jr. and sophomore OG Anunoby as other Hoosiers who will reportedly entered their name into the draft. However, like Bryant, it is not expected that Blackmon will hire an agent.
