The IDS, INside magazine and Arbutus yearbook have all been named Pacemaker finalists, respectively. Pacemaker awards are given annually to a handful of college media and are often considered the Pulitzer Prizes of college journalism.

But our congratulations don't stop there. Some of our staff are also competing as individual finalists. These staff members include Kristine Ki in the display ad category, Christa Chapman for a picture story, Jacob Kriese for a feature photo, Larry Buchanan in the infographic category and the page one category, Indira Dammu for an editorial and Matt Dollinger for a sports story.

Winners will be announced on Oct. 28 - Nov. 1 at the National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas.
