Sleeping Bag Drive for Shalom Community Center at IU School of Social Work

Many people experiencing homelessness and poverty do not have access to adequately heated spaces to sleep even in the coldest winter months. This often means people must sleep outdoors, in tents, or in apartments that do not have the heat turned on. In order to better equip people for the harsh winter months there will be a sleeping bag and winter apparel drive next week benefiting guests of Shalom Community Center. Any sleeping bags, coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweats, long-johns, boots, or backpacks that you no longer use can be donated to the IU School of Social Work or Shalom Community Center. Please help keep individuals experiencing these circumstances stay warm through the winter. Location: IU School of Social Work or Shalom Community Center
