IU President Michael A. McRobbie left IU May 18 for a 15-day trip to East Asia to strengthen IU’s ties to South Korea, China and Taiwan, according to a press release.

other IU students joined 25 fellow 500 Festival princesses dressed in
evening gowns, sashes and, yes, tiaras, for the crowning of the

Property Room to sell unclaimed lost and found or surplus items online.
They started working together in 2012.
"The Shining" and "Room 237" will be playing at the IU Cinema this weekend May 16 through May 18.
Vice President Emeritus Terry Clapacs, one of the longest-serving vice presidents in IU history, will be discussing the history of IU’s limestone buildings at 7 p.m. May 17 at Bloomington City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street, according to a press release.

Dr. Jay L. Hess has recently been selected as the new vice president for university clinical affairs and dean of the Indiana University School of Medicine, pending approval of the IU Board of Trustees at its June meeting, according to a press release.

Auer said he has
accepted an offer to become dean of the faculty and vice president of academic
affairs at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
IU was recently recognized as a 2013 Laureate by IDG Enterprise’s
Computerworld Honors Program, according to a press release. The annual
award program honors visionary information technology applications that
encourage positive social, economic and educational change. IU earned
the distinction for the eTexts initiative and recent wireless network
upgrade to ensure reliable, secure access to digital materials,
according to the release.
IU Bloomington will receive $184.8 million in state funding in the coming year. This is a 2.5 percent increase from this year.
