An 18-year-old female reported being sexually assaulted by a familiar male after they were out drinking with friends late Friday, Bloomington Police Department Lt. David Drake said.

The woman reported the incident to BPD Saturday at Bloomington Hospital, Drake said.

Although she cannot recall what happened after 2 a.m., she does remember waking at 5 a.m. thinking she was sexually assaulted and a man being on top of her, Drake said.  
She did not wake until later that afternoon.
