Stephanie Doctrow
"Stephanie is the type of writer who can write on any topic," said campus editor Sarah Brubeck. "She's excellent on deadline, but she also has a good eye for detail when she writes features. She's also really passionate about the Indiana Daily Student. Nine out of 10 times she will take a story when we ask."

What are your interests? “Besides journalism, I really like to read, and I used to dance back in high school. Just, like, hanging out with friends.”
My favorite story I’ve written so far... “My favorite story was my profile on Dean Gonzalez. He just has such a great story that I felt like I was telling something really special to readers. And it was really nice to get recognized for it-- it was the story of the week and he sent me an e-mail saying I did a good job. It felt really good.”
My favorite IDS memory... “Probably the night the I did the cover of the Brock Gill show. I came back and had to finish it in 30 minutes. . . . It was fun being there with all the editors and just feeling the energy. It taught me I could work on a deadline and do a good job.”
My favorite part about working at the IDS... “All the people that I’ve met and all the experience I’ve gotten. I feel like I’ve learned more here than I have in the classroom.”
I would tell students hesitant about working at the IDS that... “It’s such a great environment. Plus, it doesn't even feel like work– I know we get paid– but it’s just so much fun it doesn’t even feel like work.”
