To help IU seniors getting ready to take their Graduate Record Examination (GRE), IU's Division of Continuing Studies is offering GRE prep classes.\nThe GRE has three major sections evaluating mathematical, analytical (reasoning) and verbal abilities at the graduate level. Although the GRE measures general capability rather than specific knowledge, students can improve their scores through systematic preparation, the Division of Continuing Studies said. \nIn this course, students review skills relevant to each major section of the GRE, take computer-simulated exams, discuss test anxiety and learn strategies for taking the Computer Adaptive Test, the only national GRE test now available. The instructor of the class will be Vid Warren, coordinator of IU Mathematics Support Services, and the class will cost $311.65, including textbooks. Each section will meet two Saturdays, four Mondays and four Wednesdays. \nFor more information or to enroll, call the Noncredit Program of the IU Division of Continuing Studies at 855-5108.
