After previously wondering where they would be able to stay during Thanksgiving break, about 220 students will take advantage of free campus housing, said Becky Kehrberg, office manager of assignments for Residential Programs and Services. \nThe number of students staying during Thanksgiving is fewer than expected, Kehrberg said. \nShe said security issues make scattering 220 students throughout the buildings unwise. Students staying over the break will be housed in Ashton-Weatherly and Eigenmann Hall. The majority of those staying live there already, she said. \nMeanwhile, RPS has determined its policy for semester break. \nRPS will leave Ashton-Weatherly, Eigenmann and apartments open during semester break. The dorms will close at 10 a.m. Dec. 16 and reopen 8 a.m. Jan. 2. \nStudents interested in semester break housing should register with RPS by Dec. 4. Unlike Thanksgiving break housing, students will be charged $40 for semester break housing.
