WIUS Sponsors Songwriting Contest

WIUS is running its first Songwriting Contest, called "Shoot the Singer." It is running from Nov. 15 to Dec. 14, which is the Thursday of finals. The grand prize is a free day in Echo Park Studios to record. You also get your own engineer and are recording in the larger of the two studios. The semifinalists (yet to be determined how many) will receive gift certificates from either TIS Bookstore or TDs CDs and LPs. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is a musician. It doesn't matter if you are in a band or if you go solo. All styles of music are welcome, just as long as it is original music! WIUS encourages all who want the chance to enter.
