The Big Ten named 13 members of the IU women's soccer team with the honors of Academic All-Conference. The Hoosiers have the third most conference selections behind Iowa (16) and Penn State (15).\nFrom the 11 Big Ten teams, 107 athletes were named to the all-conference team.\nThe Hoosiers that were honored are junior back Whitney Butler, senior forward Wendy Graves, junior forward Janie Gregory, senior goalkeeper Chrissy Heubi, senior back Jena Kluska, junior midfielder Kelly Kram, sophomore forward Jenny Mann, junior midfielder Stacey Peterson, sophomore back Courtney Pollock, sophomore forward Kristen Sprunger, freshman back Kim Sturm and sophomore midfielder Lisa Tecklenburg.\nKluska has earned Big Ten academic honors three times.\nThe 13 selections are also a school record, breaking the mark of 10 set in 1998.\nThirteen members of the football team were also named to the Big Ten's Academic All-Conference team. The total was the third highest in the conference and second highest in IU history. Ohio State had the most selections with 15.\nSophomore center Trevor Abbs, freshman kicker Adam Braucher, junior wide receiver Tim Capen, sophomore guard Enoch DeMar, freshman kicker Brett Gaudin, sophomore safety Joe Gonzalez, sophomore quarterback Gibran Hamdan, junior safety Greg Jensen, freshman defensive back Matt Mason, sophomore linebacker Shane Moat, junior defensive end Kemp Rasmussen, junior linebacker Justin Smith and sophomore tackle Brett Taylor were chosen from the Hoosiers.
