As it stands, I am a junior by age. By credits, I think I am a senior. By major, I think I am behind. By graduation date, I think "Who knows?" With all of IU's different programs and requirements, it is often very difficult, not only to understand the guidelines, but also knowing your own requirements. Being a business major requires a strong commitment and a great deal of organizational skill. This is not a skill taught in X220-X420 but rather in making decisions, such as: What major(s)? What minor(s)? What general eds? How many credits can you handle? How many credits do you want to handle? How to balance all the group work with your own work? How to balance your social life with your school load? \nThe business school teaches you to be responsible or you will never graduate on time. I have to say that I have received a lot of assistance from Kelley School of Business faculty and especially advisers. Names I have to include are Linda O'Donnell, Richard Hvale and Jim Murray. These are just some of the great staff we have at our disposal. These are all people who have not only helped with scheduling, but also helped justify taking an extra load or how to get exempt from one, two or even more classes. I have learned it helps to ask, and it helps to meet with them regularly because requirements change, and so do majors. \nGood luck in your planning at IU, and do not forget about our wonderful advisers.
