2 Players named to All-Big Ten team

Iowa coach, Purdue player get top awards

Jill Chapman topped a list of two IU players among the Big Ten's best.\nChapman, a junior center on the women's basketball team, was named to the First Team, All-Big Ten Team Tuesday as voted by the media. Chapman, who leads the Hoosiers (18-9, 9-7 Big Ten) in both points (14.9 per game) and rebounds (7.1 per game), was selected as a Second Team representative by the Big Ten coaches.\nChapman was named to the Honorable Mention Team her freshman and sophomore seasons.\nJunior guard Heather Cassady was named to the media and coaches Second Team. Cassady, who leads IU in minutes played, three-pointers made, free throws made, assists and steals, won an honorable mention last season. Through the 27 regular season games, Cassady is second on the scoring list with 11.7 points per game.\nPurdue's Katie Douglas took home the top prize, being named the Big Ten's Player of the Year by both the media and coaches. Iowa's Lisa Bluder was Coach of the Year on both lists.
