IUSA elections to start today

IU Student Association elections take place today and Wednesday with polling sites across campus. The five tickets running are House, Imagine, Miracle, ONE and Supernova.\nEach ticket has a president, vice president for Congress, vice president for administration and treasurer executive candidate. All the tickets also have candidates running for congressional seats, which represent housing areas and academic schools. \nPolling sites at the Main Library, Kelley School of Business, music school and Ballantine Hall are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days, said senior Erin Koops, elections coordinator. The Indiana Memorial Union Site has extended hours, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Koops said. Voters must bring a valid student ID to the polls.\n"These locations span the campus and were intended to provide students with a convenient on-campus voting location," Koops said.\nVotes can also be cast online from a link at the top of IUSA's Web site, www.indiana.edu/~iusa. Ballots are available at the site 24 hours a day for the two-day period, Koops said. \n"This method of voting provides the ultimate convenience for students as they can vote from their connected home computer or any campus terminal at any time of the day or night during the two days," Koops said.
