The women's tennis team made its second road trip of the season this weekend. Perhaps the road is the place to be for the Hoosiers. \nIU won 6-1 at Marquette Feb. 4, then followed that up with a win at Maryland Friday before falling to No. 3 Duke Saturday. \n IU (6-1) handed the Terrapins their first loss of the season behind standout singles play. IU won all six singles matches, but lost the doubles tally in the 6-1 triumph, marking the first time in two years IU has lost the doubles point but come back to dominate singles and win the match. \n"This was a really good win for us," coach Lin Loring said. "We are very young, and it is only our second match on the road. I'm really pleased that the girls came out on fire in singles after we lost the doubles point."\nJunior Amanda Field continued her strong season, topping Maryland's Olivia Dubovikov 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Field has lost eight of her last 36 games and has yet to lose a match this season. \nField and the Hoosiers couldn't duplicate Friday's performance against Duke, which stormed past IU 7-0. It was IU's first loss of the season. \nThe Hoosiers again lost the doubles point, but couldn't gain momentum, losing all six singles matches.
