The hockey team tied New York University 5-5 Thursday in its second-round game in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II tournament in Fishers, Ind.\nThe Hoosiers won their first-round game 5-4 in overtime against Utah Wednesday. IU faces Michigan State today at 7 p.m. The Spartans, who also topped Utah 5-4 in overtime, are 2-0 in Group A play. IU is 1-0-1 after Thursday\'s tie. NYU is 0-1-1 and Utah has lost both games its played.\nIU needs to beat Michigan State to advance to Sunday's semifinal round. \nIn Thursday's other games, Life University and Weber State -- both in Group C -- remained undefeated and in prime position to advance to Saturday's semifinals. Life shut out Stony Brook 3-0 and Weber State topped Oakland 6-3.\nFerris State, which is playing in Group D, is alsoremained unbeaten after Thursday's 8-3 win against USC. \nThe 16-team tournament has feautred three overtime games, four ties and three games deicded by one goal. \nThe round-robin tournament concludes with Sunday's championship game at 7:30 p.m.
