Dino Efthimiou vaulted into the IU men's track and field record books March 8 at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. \nThe pole vaulter continued his climb through IU annals with two career-best efforts and a fifth-place finish, enough to earn All-American honors. Efthimiou is now third on IU's all-time indoor records with his personal-best vaults. \n"I was pretty intimidated heading in," he said. "I wasn't sure why, but I talked to Coach (Marshall Goss) today, and I was even less nervous than Big Tens. Anything can happen. It was definitely an exciting meet, and I learned that keeping your composure at the big meets is the key."\nEfthimiou did just that, avenging losses to Big Ten foes who beat him at the league championships. \n"We're very proud of the way Dino has been able to correct faults this year, and in his improvement from the time he arrived here," Goss said. "He really took the lead this year, and we need some more followers"
