The men's and women's soccer teams both have unbeaten records this spring, and both teams look to continue their success Saturday.\nJerry Yeagley's men's team plays West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday at Bill Armstrong Stadium, while coach Joe Kelley and the women's team travel to Greencastle to battle DePauw in a spring tournament against club teams from around the state.\nThe West Virginia Wesleyan game is the men's team's third of the spring and second at home. The Hoosiers defeated IU-Purdue University at Indianapolis 1-0 and tied the Indy Blast, a professional team, earlier this spring.\nWhile the Hoosiers haven't lost a game this spring, Yeagley said they haven't played particularly well, either.\n"I think this spring we've gotten away from a thread of success for us, and that is good, hard team defense," Yeagley said. "I think we've been concentrating on trying to develop our offense a little more, and I feel our defense has suffered a little. \n"And the other thing is, we've really not been very good in front of the goal. We're squandering opportunities."\nAlthough the Hoosiers have squandered opportunities in front of the net, some players have not blown opportunities to impress Yeagley, he said. Several redshirt freshmen have gotten chances to play this spring, and Yeagley said the outcome has been good.\n"Some of the redshirts are really making us take second looks," he said. "I think several of them have passed by some other players. Our redshirt group, three or four of them are making very good progress."\nThe women's team, meanwhile, has made steady progress all spring.\nThe Hoosiers have played and won five games thus far, including four victories last weekend at the Illinois spring tournament. At the tournament, IU defeated Eastern Illinois, Milwaukee-Wisconsin, Northwestern and Xavier. All four games, plus the spring-opening 2-0 victory against St. Louis, were shutouts.
