Athletics director names top aides

The IU Department of Athletics announced the appointment of Jason Lewis as chief financial officer and executive associate athletics director and Lauren Rochet as assistant athletics director for personnel and administration.\nLewis joins the staff after serving as an associate athletics director/treasurer at the United States Naval Academy since August of 1999. Before his tenure at Navy, Lewis served as an associate athletics director for internal affairs at New Mexico State from 1996-1999. He has also served as an assistant athletics director for internal affairs at Arkansas State (1994-96), as athletic assistant for business and marketing at St. Mary's College (1993-94), head women's and assistant men's tennis coach at St. Mary's (1993-94) and athletics department event coordinator at Ohio University (1992-93). \nRochet joins the staff after serving as special assistant to the chief operating officer and community relations manager for the San Diego Chargers since August of 1999. In these roles, Rochet focused on personnel administration and the Chargers Champions scholarship and grant program for youth, educators and schools in greater San Diego. Rochet has also served in compliance and marketing positions with the Big West Conference office and in the University of California-Santa Barbara athletic department.
