Legal troubles continue to plague the football team. Just a month after safety Clarence Young was charged with rape in July, third-string freshman quarterback Patrick Thompson and junior offensive lineman Jamarkus Gorman have been arrested on preliminary charges of theft. Both players were arrested Tuesday morning and posted bail.\nThe charges stem from the unauthorized use of an ATM card August 2. According to the police report, Gorman and Thompson found a card left in a drive-up ATM in Eastland Plaza. The two players withdrew $200 from the account and were later identified by a surveillance camera.\nJeff Fanter, director of media relations for IU Athletics, declined to comment, saying only, "We are aware of the situation, but in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, we are not permitted to comment on the situation in question"
