King of Pop almost 'invincible'

The King of Pop is back with the release of his first studio album in six years, Invincible. Michael Jackson brought out all of the bells and whistles for this one, collaborating with Carlos Santana, Chris Tucker, R. Kelly -- even Notorious B.I.G. He's back and true to form. And not a minute too late.\nWith the state of music as it is today, it's refreshing when something with this much musical integrity hits the market. Many people criticize the album for being formulaic, but it's a formula that Jackson invented. And no matter how much you try to deny it, you know you love him.\nThe album hits the whole spectrum of Michael, too. The first few tracks, "Unbreakable," which features the Notorious B.I.G., and the two following it, which both feature rapper Fats, pick up where "Black or White" left off, mixing the elements of R&B with rap. You probably remember the video for that one. It featured such notable characters as George Wendt and Macaulay Culkin.\nThe first single from the record, "You Rock My World," plays like some of his earlier hits, namely "The Way You Make Me Feel" from Bad. His softer ballads are represented with style on tracks like "Break of Dawn," or his collaboration with R. Kelly for "Cry." He even throws in a few new sounds, such his new track "2000 Watts," or his statement to the media, "Privacy."\nMore than anything, this album is just Jackson making his music the way he likes to make it. Other than the simple fact that it is Michael Jackson, there really isn't much that's spectacular about it. Getting this album isn't much different than getting any of his other albums. The important thing is that it isn't any worse, either.
