Sophomore left fielder Mark Calkins' three-run home run in the eighth inning capped a dramatic come-from-behind victory as the Hoosiers downed Xavier 10-9 in a slugfest Tuesday. \nFor more than half of the game, IU (4-2) could not get any offense going, trailing the Musketeers 9-2 after six innings.\nThe Hoosiers' bats would come alive in the seventh as everyone in the lineup batted and the team cut the deficit to two runs.\nBut it was Calkins' heroics that lifted the Hoosiers, and juniors Kevin O'Brien and Ryan Smith closed the door on the Musketeers (4-7), not allowing any runs in the last three innings.\nJunior center fielder Kennard Jones added four hits and scored four runs for the Hoosiers.\nIU will be on the road again today at 3 p.m. to take on Butler.
