The men's second row of the racing field is anything but second best. Returning residence hall team -- Teter -- and independent teams -- Corleone and Achtung -- are trying to prove you don't have to be Greek to succeed in the race. \n \nROW 2\nno. 4 Team Corleone (2:33.233)\nNamed after the Corleone family in the movie "The Godfather," the team proves having fun and working hard will get you far in the Little 500 series. The team has dominated the series events to date, beginning with a fourth- place finish at qualifications. The first-year independent team, with two returning riders from other teams, showed its strength at Individual Time Trials. Senior rookie Luke Isenbarger finished first, with the three other team members directly behind each other in sixth, seventh and eighth place. Not letting his reign at the top end, Isenbarger again snagged a top spot during Miss-N-Out, finishing second.\n"I think we are doing great. It's been a pleasant surprise," team captain and senior Daniel Burns said. "But we have been working really hard. The rookie riders know how to dig deep and how to suffer. We are going to go out there and leave everything on the track."
no. 5 Teter (2:34.426)\nFinishing in the top 10 last year and ending qualifications in the top five this year puts Teter in contention for a top spot April 20. Despite a lack of team organization, senior Patrick Gilbert made it to the semifinal round of Miss-N-Out, and senior Michael Choinacky finished 11th in Individual Time Trials.\n"We don't put a whole lot on the series," Gilbert said. "Everyone knows that anything can happen in the race." \nThe team has faced its share of problems. Freshman Joshua Beisel had his foot run over by a car and Choinacky is in South Bend while he finishes his student teaching.\n"Our goals are a little different than last year," Gilbert said. "We lost our best rider in David Eaton last year, so this year we wanted to go out there and have fun. We are in more of a rebuilding stage. We are out there to have fun and enjoy the Little 5 experience."
no. 6 Achtung (2:34.842)\nPulling an independent team together can be a hard task, but for Achtung the work paid off. The team consists of riders of all different bike types ranging from mountain to road styles. With the diversity of the team's talent and three returning riders from last year\'s top 20 team, the team is ready to ride in a top spot.\n"We are going to try to definitely hang with the top dogs in the top 10," senior Rustin Dyer said. "We are going to see how far our training has taken us and see how well we can do"
