A challenge to whiners

Many people have opinions about what is wrong with the United States and what our stance should be on terrorism. The United States is a great nation, and while we do get too full of ourselves from time to time (like the late '40s to the '80s), we do not take actions out of malice. We may be misguided and idealistic, but never have we warred out of hatred, despite what revisionist historians would have us think. Only in a country as tolerant and open-minded as ours would we have our citizens condemning us for the attacks against us. To them -- why don't you stop complaining and come up with a solution? I challenge any such individual to e-mail me a solution (at jatmorri@indiana.edu) that is practical, realistic, and solves the problem. Then, back it up with some evidence. Here is an example (not my opinion!!!) We should simply nuke the entire country. Divide the country into one-square mile blocks and drop a 10 megaton nuclear warhead in each of them. Total annihilation. Example from history: when the native Hawaiians first came to Hawaii, they found it inhabited. Rather than compete for space, they simply exterminated this other civilization. It solved the problem. \nNow, it's your turn. Have fun. If you can't do it, then please stop whining like a spoiled American brat.
