Women's soccer ends season with win\nThe women's club soccer team completed the 2001 season on Saturday with a 2-1 Victory at Washington University in Illinois. The Hoosiers entered the game with a .500 record and the victory saved the teams winning season. The first goal was scored in the opening half by Janie Gregory on a cross from Meaghan Burns. The winning goal came in the second half on a cross by Lauren Claytor to goal scorer Dea Latal.\nThe Hoosiers finished the season 5-4-1 with wins over Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Washington and two victories against Northwestern.\n"We ended on a great note," team member Katie Lavin said. "It was a good win."\nUltimate frisbee finishes 9th at Illinois\nThe men's ultimate frisbee team competed in the first annual Fall Out 2001 this past weekend at the University of Illinois. IU sent two split squads to the tournament and squad "B" finished 9th; squad "A" came in 10th overall at the tournament. \nIU split squad "B" opened the tournament with a 13-6 victory against Knox College and then defeated Arkansas 13-8. The Hoosiers who were seeded 8 entering the weekend were then defeated by No. 1 seeded Illinois 13-9 and No. 10 Purdue 13-7.\nOn Sunday, squad "B" defeated Northwestern 15-1 and St. Louis 15-6 before knocking off squad "A" 17-15 in overtime. Earlier that day, the "A" squad defeated Knox College and Arkansas to make it to the finals.
