The women's swimming and diving team qualified three more competitors for the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas.\nSenior Erin Quinn, junior Sara Reiling and sophomore Cassandra Cardinell will join the eight Hoosier swimmers already qualified. After their performances at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships Friday and Saturday at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatic Center, Quinn, Reiling and Cardinell will continue their season at the NCAA Championships.\nQuinn led the Hoosiers with a third-place finish on the one-meter competition Friday with a score of 286.30. Purdue senior Kara Hajek-Gustafson won the event with a score of 291.65, while Michigan State senior Carly Weiden was second with 288.30 points. Reiling was seventh and Cardinell was eighth on the one-meter board.\nSaturday, Quinn was victorious on the three-meter board with a score of 556.00, more than 30 points ahead of second-place Heather Mattingly of Notre Dame. Reiling was third in the three-meter competition with a score of 519.95 and Cardinell was 11th.\nIn the platform competition, the Hoosiers' team depth showed as they placed first, second and fourth. Reiling, the reigning Big Ten champion on platform and one-meter, won the event with a score of 438.20. Cardinell was second and Quinn was fourth with scores of 398.95 and 353.75, respectively.\nQuinn will compete on the one- and three-meter boards at NCAAs. Reiling will compete in the three-meter and platform competitions, and Cardinell will dive in the platform event.\nThe Hoosiers will head to the NCAA Championships this weekend at Texas' Jamail Swimming Center, where the action will begin Thursday and continue through Sunday.
