Winning streak continues against Cats

IU squeaked out a 2-1 victory against rival Kentucky Wednesday in Lexington.\nSenior Pat Noonan led the Hoosiers with two goals increasing his team point lead to 24.\nFreshmen Brian Plotkin came off the bench and assisted on both goals. Senior Ryan Mack added an assist of his own. \nNoonan opened the scoring in the first half finding the back of the net with three minutes left in the half, while the Hoosier defense only allowed one Kentucky (7-5-0) shot.\nBut the Wildcat offense woke up in the second half, and junior Jamal Shteiwi knotted the score at one with less than three minutes left in the game, hoping to send the game into overtime.\nNoonan wanted to end the game in regulation, and he scored the winning goal just 30 seconds later off a corner kick.\nIU (11-1-2) heads into the final game of the Big Ten regular season riding a nine game winning streak, but sophomore Ned Grabavoy's point streak was snapped at eight games.
