The march toward the NCAA tournament gained momentum this past weekend with the men's golf team finishing fourth at the Kepler Intercollegiate.\nFour Hoosiers finished in the top 30 of the individual rankings with current Big Ten golfer of the week sophomore Jeff Overton topping the list, tying for fifth place with a 221, five-over-par.\nSenior Aldo Jordan tied for 13th with an eight-over-par 224. Freshman Scott Seibert finished tied for 19th with an 11-over-par 227, and sophomore Heath Peters rounded out the top 30 tied for that position with a 14-over-par 230.\nThe only Hoosier to finish lower than the top 30 was senior captain Ben Davidson, who rounded out the IU card tied for 72nd with a 23-over-par 239.\nFor the Hoosiers and Overton, Sunday brought a drop in their places on the leaderboard.\nAt the end of day one, the men in crimson and cream held onto second place, four spots ahead of region foes Purdue, Kentucky and Kent State; Overton was tied for the lead. But as the competition stiffened for the title, Kentucky jumped to finish third, Big Ten rival Illinois second and host Ohio State won the event. Individually, Brad Heaven of Toledo took home top honors. \nThe Hoosiers have finished in the top five of their last three tournaments and will look forward to the Fossum/Spartan Invitational on April 26 and 27 in East Lansing, Mich., the last tournament before IU hosts the Big Ten championships.
