Men's tennis heads north\nThe IU men's tennis team will travel north again this weekend to face off against Iowa and Minnesota. The Hoosiers enter this weekend's matches with a 3-3 record in the Big Ten.\nTwo weekends ago the Hoosiers hosted Ohio State but fell in what would be the first of three consecutive losses. Last weekend, IU was swept by Michigan and Michigan State, 4-3 and 6-1 respectively. The Hoosiers entered last weekend talking about how they needed a sweep of the two Michigan teams to contend in the Big Ten, but the Hoosiers are now faced with must win situations from here on out to stand a chance at placing in the top three in the Big Ten.\nIn Iowa, the Hoosiers will find an opponent struggling as much as the Hoosiers are as the Hawkeyes come into this weekend with a 1-6 record in the Big Ten. \nMinnesota on the other hand is a different story. The Gophers head into this weekend with a 6-1 record in league play and are currently No. 11 in the nation. The Gophers only conference loss came at the hands of No. 1 Illinois. \nThe Hoosiers will play the Hawkeyes on Saturday and the Gophers on Sunday with both matches scheduled to start at noon.\nRain washes out Masters tourney\nAUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta National finally met its match -- Mother Nature, not Martha Burk. Four days of heavy rain turned golf's hallowed grounds into a muddy mess and forced the first round of the Masters to be postponed for the first time since 1939.\nTiger Woods, chasing history as he goes after his third straight title, didn't even make it to the golf course. Those who did never got much farther than the clubhouse.\n"We believe this golf course is unplayable," said Will Nicholson, chairman of the competition committees. "This golf course will just not take any more water."\nThe 93 players will return Friday for 36 holes -- weather permitting -- as the Masters continues on a strange path through uncharted waters.\nCubs fall to Expos\nCHICAGO -- Tony Armas Jr. struck out a career-high 11 batters in seven scoreless innings as the Montreal Expos beat the Chicago Cubs 7-1 Thursday to avoid a three-game sweep.\nArmas (2-1) gave up a leadoff single to Mark Grudzielanek, walked Sammy Sosa two batters later and then retired the next 11. He gave up just two more hits and didn't allow another runner past first base.\nArmas followed up Javier Vazquez's 14-strikeout performance in a 3-0 loss Wednesday. Montreal had 29 strikeouts in all the past two games, a franchise record.\nVladimir Guerrero homered and drove in three runs for the Expos.
