Ah, the review of Terminator 3. Well, the kindest thing I can say is that the DVD is pretty much the same as the movie was in theaters: slick, loud and about as interesting as a jar of night soil.\nThe DVD is a standard two-disc set available either in fullscreen or widescreen, the latter being what I chose to watch. The digital transfer is very well done, with good color saturation and proper colors, though Terminator 3 is not what you would call a visually stimulating film. \nAudio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, with no DTS soundtrack available. However, the Dolby track is extremely loud -- loud enough to very possibly damage your speakers if you crank the volume up too high.\nThe forgettable extras are located on the second disc including the standard featurettes on the effects and stunts, a gag reel and some info on the costumes and characters all dressed up to fit the SkyNet database theme. The most asinine features include a section on the Terminator 3 action figures and a both a promo and making of feature for an upcoming T3 video game … woohoo.\nAs a demo film for how cool one's home theater setup is, Terminator 3 is a pretty good choice, but that's about all.
