As far as chains are concerned, Bob Evans got gyped. For all of you whose parents have been divorced since you were wee ones, the standard PB&J offered on the weekends at dad's was bi-weekly replaced in my world with a trip to Bob's. Strawberry pancakes and whipped cream is still my favorite food. But since the Bloomington Bob's is so far from campus, I've decided I'll let the Village Deli claim its well-earned title of best place to get breakfast in B-town.\nFrom what I hear, it's amazing -- especially the pancakes. I'm guessing that most students, those like myself who have a hard time rising prior to noon, have very little clue when it comes to the local breakfast club. The brain, the athlete, the basketcase, the princess and the criminals (if you got that reference, you rock) all voted for the Village.\nUptown reigned in at second place, although it's too pricey for my taste. \nBut we can all appreciate the infamy of the Waffle House, because at least Bloomington has yet to become victim of an IHOP takeover. Excluding the old school Shoney's Bear, the Waffle House should be proud as a survivor of corporate takeover.\nBeware of additional bias in the forthcoming paragraphs, as I am obsessed with the Runcible Spoon. I insisted that although it technically wouldn't have made this story, the vote totals in the third and fourth places were ridiculously too close to justify exclusion.\nThe cozy house of books and breakfast has become a staple in my world of a place to go when you crave feeling warm and fuzzy. In fourth place, the Spoon represents with affordable prices, yummy food and an ever-so-inviting atmosphere -- not to mention one handsome staff. I told you. I'm biased. Sit at the table by the front bay windows and write about your beau on one of the Spoon's infamous pebbles. \n"I always get coffee at the Spoon," says junior Sarah Thomson. "It has a really cool atmosphere." \nAnd even though it didn't place, Cafe D'jango, according to many interviewed students, has a breakfast lineup that's very much worth honorable mention. And with that, you can throw away the toaster strudels in the freezer from September. Go out for breakfast tomorrow morning.
