DiNardo's field staff full after departures

The reshuffling of the IU football staff has begun to settle. \nIU coach Gerry DiNardo completed his field staff Monday, promoting Steve Addazio to offensive coordinator, on top of his offensive line coaching duties. \nLast week, DiNardo promoted defensive line coach Joe Cullen to the defensive coordinator position. \nThe only position still open is director of football operations, formerly occupied by Dino Mangiero, named linebackers coach last week.\nAlso Monday, DiNardo named Bob McConnell wide receiver's coach. McConnell coached under DiNardo for four years at Vanderbilt and five years at Louisiana State. \nMo Moriarity was named assistant offensive line coach Monday, as well, and will be more involved in the offensive kicking game, DiNardo said.\nLast week, DiNardo hired two new coaches to the IU staff. \nTroy Douglas and Matt Canada are the only coaches not hired from within.\nDouglas, named defensive backs coach, comes to IU from South Carolina State, Big Ten foe Michigan State and Southern Methodist. Canada is the new quarterbacks coach, coming to Bloomington from Northern Illinois where he was the offensive coordinator. \nDiNardo retained another coach, keeping Curt Mallory as the Hoosiers' safeties coach. \n"I'm excited about it," DiNardo said. "I think we've had a good staff the last two years, but this is the best staff to date"
