If the Hoosiers (23-19, 0-2) were frustrated with their play going into the game against Ball State (9-20), then they won't be happy with their play Tuesday afternoon. IU traveled to Ball State to take on the Cardinals but fell short, losing the game 2-1. \nIn the top of the sixth inning, freshman Tory Yamaguchi singled, scoring freshman Kim Richards. \nIn the bottom of the sixth inning, the Cardinals took the lead as freshman Taylor Yancey doubled, driving in two runs. \nIU failed to produce enough offense throughout the rest of the game and fell to BSU 2-1. \nThe Hoosiers continue their Big Ten schedule this weekend as Iowa and Illinois come to visit. The Hawkeyes (25-15, 3-0) are looking to continue their four- game winning streak Friday and Saturday against the Hoosiers.\nThe Illini, who won their last game against Northwestern, are coming into Bloomington for a doubleheader Sunday. \nIU starts its homestand against Iowa at 3 p.m. Friday at the IU soft-ball complex. The Hoosiers play the Hawkeyes again at noon Saturday. Finally, at noon Sunday, the Hoosiers will play host to Illinois for a doubleheader.
