Team Rahal running three in Indy 500\nINDIANAPOLIS -- Team Rahal announced it will run three cars in the Indianapolis 500, the most entries in the race in team history.\nBuddy Rice will replace Kenny Brack on the Team Rahal roster for the May 30 race. Brack, the 1999 Indy 500 winner, is recovering from being seriously injured in a crash in the 2003 Indy Racing League finale at Texas Motor Speedway.\nRoger Yasukawa, who finished 10th as a rookie in the last year's Indy 500, joins Rice on the team. The third driver has yet to be named.\n"We are definitely prepared for a three-car effort at Indianapolis," said team owner Bobby Rahal, a former Indianapolis 500 winner and CART series champion. "Obviously it's a change, but I'm very pleased with the organization of the team."\nRahal, who defected to the IRL from the defunct rival Champ Car series earlier this year, said he will stick with two cars for the rest of the IRL season.\nAlso, Beck Motorsports filed a single entry for the race.

Raptors fire general manager\nTORONTO -- Glen Grunwald was fired as the Raptors' general manager Thursday with two weeks left in a second-straight losing season in which he clashed with the coach.\nGrunwald, Toronto's GM for seven seasons, was replaced on an interim basis by Jack McCloskey, a former general manager for the Detroit Pistons. Grunwald has been with the Raptors since their inception in 1994.\n"We didn't make the strides that we thought we would," team president Richard Peddie said. "We're standing here with 30 wins. It's time for someone else to come up with a master plan."\nPeddie said Grunwald will advise the team on the draft, and the new general manager will decide if coach Kevin O'Neill returns.\nPeddie acknowledged the tension between Grunwald and O'Neill, who has a year left on his contract.\n"There was a conflict," Peddie said. "I don't want to deny there was because you all know there was. It didn't help."\nGrunwald added: "We went through a difficult situation."\nPeddie said he decided to remove Grunwald after the rift became public last week.
