IU - Michigan game set for ABC\nThe Oct. 2 IU-Michigan football game at Memorial Stadium has been set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on ABC. The game will be shown regionally. \nSaturday, IU plays Michigan State at home in a game which will be broadcast on ESPN Plus Local but will not be shown live. It will be shown in tape delay starting at 8 p.m. on WTTV Channel 4. The game will be shown live on ESPN GamePlan.\nThe Hoosier's television schedule is determined by the Big Ten. ABC, ESPN and ESPN Plus, which own the television rights to Big Ten football games.\nThe Michigan State game will have two other special events. Saturday will be the Hoosier Military Heroes Day as well as Band Day. Active and retired military can enter the game for free with a military ID or buy as many as four tickets for $10 each.\nNolly earns Big Ten weekly honor\nWhile the No. 1 ranked Hoosier men's soccer team dropped both weekend matches this week, senior goalkeeper Jay Nolly was named the co-Defensive Player of the Week in the Big Ten conference. \n"It is always an honor to be recognized by the Conference," Nolly said. "I give a lot of credit to my defensive. We are starting to come together as a team, and after a tough weekend, we learned a lot of lessons that will help for the rest of the season."\nIU lost both its matches at the adidas/Crescent Financial Solutions Invitational in New Mexico, a pair of double overtime 1-0 defeats at the hands of No. 3 University of California-Santa Barbara and No. 14 New Mexico. \nNolly was named to the adidas/Crescent Financial Solutions Invitational All-Tournament team.\nDuring a week in which the Hoosiers faced three ranked opponents, No. 5 Notre Dame being the other, Nolly made 10 saves while posting a 0.57 goals against average.\nThis was Nolly's first conference honor of the year and the fifth in his Hoosier career. \nWomen's soccer gaining recognition\nThe IU women's soccer team is coming off an impressive weekend performance that saw the Hoosiers win the team's first two Big Ten regular season games. During the weekend's games versus Minnesota and Iowa, sophomore defender Lauren Lamping was a linchpin in the back for the Hoosiers, as the team allowed a mere six shots and one goal in the two contests combined. For her performance, Lamping was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, marking the first time in her young career that she has garnered the award. \nLamping's achievement also marks the first time in IU women's soccer history the Hoosiers have won both an Offensive Player of the Week honor to go along with one for the defensive side of the ball. Senior Kim Grodek received the conference's top offensive weekly award Sept. 1.\nIU currently sits atop the Big Ten with a 2-0 record in conference play and a 6-1 record overall. This year's Hoosier team is just two wins shy of last year's total (8-10-1 record).
