Wednesday night will mark the end of another Big Ten championship season for the IU men's soccer team as it closes out the regular season at 7 p.m. at Bill Armstrong Stadium.\nIn-state rival IU-Purdue University Indianapolis (9-6-1) comes to Bloomington where the Hoosiers (13-3-1) will look to stay unbeaten against the Jaguars all-time.\nThe Hoosiers look to continue their winning ways heading into the Big Ten tournament as they've won their last four games. The Big Ten tournament starts Nov. 11 in Ann Arbor, Mich. \nAfter being upset by Northwestern five games ago, the Hoosiers returned to their winning streak and secured the top seed in the Big Ten. Since capturing the team's ninth straight Big Ten title Oct. 24 versus Ohio State, the Hoosiers have defeated non-conference foes Butler University, the University of Louisville and Saint Louis University. \nIU nearly blew a 1-0 win against Saint Louis by giving up a goal in the final seconds, but the Hoosiers were able to fight back and score in overtime, winning the game 2-1.\nDespite the end of the schedule being made up of non-conference teams that likely won't go far in the NCAA tournament, the final games of the season are always important no matter who the opponent is, IU coach Mike Freitag said.\n"I think a lot of these are all lessons," Freitag said. "We keep on talking about lessons, but they are all lessons to be learned. I thought we had learned it a couple times already, but we must be slow learners because we did it again."\nIUPUI enters the game on a bit of a skid as only two of its last eight games have ended with a Jaguars victory. The team did show signs of potential earlier in the season when it stunned Wisconsin 2-1. \nThe Hoosiers beat IUPUI 1-0 last season off a goal from junior midfielder Brian Plotkin.
