A new week but the same results for the IU women's golf team. The Hoosiers remained in the cellar this week with a 15th-place finish out of 15 teams in competition at the Verizon 'Mo'Morial Invitational in Houston.\nThe Hoosiers wrapped up the tournament at Traditions Golf Club with a total score of 1,025 (345-336-344), 83 strokes back of tournament champion Southern Methodist University and 33 strokes behind the University of Kansas, the 14th-place team.\n"I think this was a very difficult golf course," IU coach Clint Wallman said in a statement. "It is the hardest golf course we have faced all year and one of the hardest I have been involved with as a college coach."\nThe leading individual performer for the Hoosiers was junior Molly Redfearn who finished tied for 40th place with a final score of 245 (85-76-84).\nFollowing Redfearn in the field of 80 was senior Bethany Brunner tied for 67th with a 257 (87-87-83), freshman Elaine Harris tied for 72nd with 261 (89-84-88), junior Katie Carlson in 79th with a 266 (84-89-93) and freshman Stephanie Mayotte tied for 80th with a 274 (90-95-89).\nThe Traditions Golf Club presented several obstacles and learning experiences for the Hoosiers, Wallman said.\n"The golf course was really hard to get up and down on if you missed a shot," he said. "I could not be more proud of the effort my team put through. They looked at it as an opportunity to learn and prepare for what we have coming up."\nThe Hoosiers' next tournament is March 13 and 14 when they travel to Henderson, Nev., to compete in the UNLV Spring Invitational.
