Cougars sending 12 to track championships

HOUSTON - The UH men's and women's track and field teams will try to make their marks when the NCAA Outdoor Championships begin Wednesday, and now they know who they'll be sending to represent them. \nTwelve UH athletes will make their way to Sacramento, Calif. -- seven from the women's squad and five from the men's. Both the Cougars and the Lady Cougars have had solid seasons, as each squad won its Conference USA Indoor and Outdoor team championships, and head coach Leroy Burrell said leadership is a big reason. \n"Both teams typify strong leadership," said Burrell after the C-USA Outdoor Championships. "Jasmine (Jackson), Alicia (Cave) and Krystal (Ward) on the women's side and for the men, Andrew (Carruthers) and Milton (Manson). The list goes on"
