IU football continues to bolster its 2006 recruiting class with the addition of tight end Jeff Sanders of Springfield Ill. Sanders is the fourth player to commit to the Hoosiers for 2006. \nAt 6-foot-4-inches, 235 pounds, Sanders lead his team to a 10-1 record and helped Sacred Heart win the Central State 8 Conference.\nSanders is not the first player to decide to go to the Hoosiers from Sacred Heart, as sophomore running back Kenni Burns starred there in 2002.\nSanders chose IU over Vanderbilt and Illinois in part because he believes IU football coach Terry Hoeppner will get the Hoosiers back on the winning track. \n"I really liked Coach Hep and was treated very well on my visit and that is why I chose IU," Sanders said. "(IU) is something I really want to be a part of." \nFor tight ends, height is important, but Sanders said his large frame isn't his best asset.\n"I think my hands are my greatest asset but my height does help," said Sanders, who also plays basketball at the school. "(Basketball) helped me out and that's why my hands are so good"
