The IU basketball community was finally able to stop holding its breath Wednesday regarding prep star Brandon Rush -- even if only to say "who?"\nTurkish standout Cem Dinc made his own recruiting waves Thursday when he expressed interest in attending IU this year. The 6-foot-10, 255-pound center cancelled visits to the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina after spending the early part of the week in Bloomington.\nDinc currently plays for the Turkish national team, but spent time at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. Dinc had been recruited by the University of Buffalo, but decided to play at Brewster before a broken finger sent him home.\nDinc and IU head coach Mike Davis share a common bond through Turkish national team coach Bogdan Tanjevic. Tanjevic coached Davis in Italy during the 1980s before taking over the Turkish national team. \nReports on Dinc describe the center as exceptionally athletic for his size.\nThe possible addition of Dinc would boost the Hoosier incoming class to four strong, joining Australian center Ben Allen, junior college transfer Earl Calloway and prep standout Joey Allen. Dinc and Allen would give IU more depth in their frontcourt already featuring sophomore D.J. White, senior Marco Killingsworth and senior Sean Kline.\nThe Hoosiers still have two scholarships available, so signing both Dinc and Rush would not be out of the question should Rush choose IU. \nIU does not discuss potential recruits until they have formally committed.
