LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Junior Josh Tudela netted both goals for the Hoosiers en route to a 2-0 win over the University of Louisville Cardinals in front of a record crowd of 3,583 fans at Cardinal Park.\nRanked No. 11 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, IU moved to 6-1-3 overall and Louisville fell to 3-7-1. Wednesday night's win was the first road win this season for the cream and crimson, as they are now 1-0-1 in road matches.\n"I was worried about this game," IU head coach Mike Freitag said. "It was a weekday game, traveling down on the bus a couple hours, and I had heard how well Louisville has been playing. I was very concerned about this game going into it."\nTudela calmed his coach's nerves as he started off the scoring in the 19th minute. The midfielder was 6 yards out from the goal as freshman forward Lee Nguyen served a corner to Tudela's head, and he put it into the back of the net.\n"I like corners because I know I can go out and win that goal," Tudela said.\nIn the play that led to the corner, Nguyen fired a shot from 22 yards out in which Louisville senior goalkeeper Steven DeGeorge deflected the shot high and over the goal.\nTudela's second goal came in the 82nd minute off a restart from the top of the circle. His shot landed over the wall of several players standing in the 18-yard box and into the back of the net.\nTudela now has four goals on the season, moving him to third on the team with points with 10. Nguyen's assist was his second in the last two games and fourth this season.\n"We have so many people who can score and provide assists," Nguyen said. "It makes my job much easier because everyone on this team can contribute."\nThe Cardinals' best chance to score came in the 27th minute when sophomore midfielder David Guzman's shot inside the 18-yard box sailed just wide of the goal post. Louisville finished with eight shots in the match to IU's 19.\nIU sophomore keeper Chris Munroe tallied his fifth clean sheet on the season, the seventh time in 10 matches the Hoosiers have shut out their opponents.\n"Our Louisville team is not far behind Indiana, and I hope our fans in the stands come away with that feeling," Louisville head coach Tony Colavecchia said. "Our players need a pat on the back for playing with the defending national champs."\nIU continues its four-game road swing this weekend with its second game of the set Sunday versus Michigan (6-3-1 overall, 1-0-0 Big Ten) in Ann Arbor. IU currently sits at 0-1-1 in the Big Ten after tying Michigan State in the Big Ten opener and losing to Penn State last Friday 2-1 in overtime.\nIU sophomore defender Greg Stevning did not dress for the Louisville match as a precaution because of lingering effects from the concussion he received against Michigan State. He is expected to suit up for the match versus the Wolverines.\n"We look forward to the away games," Tudela said. "We pick it up so our team can get prepared for later on when the tournament rolls around"
