INDIANAPOLIS -- All Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson could do was shake his head after the Colts poured 43 points on him and his team. Houston just wanted to contain the Colts' dangerous offense. \nThey failed, losing 43-24.\nThe Colts' offense scored points on six of its first seven possessions. They even broke a few records along the way.\n"It's so frustrating," Robinson, whose job Sunday was to defend Marvin Harrison, said. "They're so smart, it's almost impossible (to stop them)."\nPeyton Manning finished with 400 yards through the air and three touchdowns, throwing to nine different receivers in the process and breaking Johnny Unitas' club completion record. Meanwhile, Harrison moved into fifth place on the all-time receptions list, passing Art Monk who had 940 receptions. Harrison finished with seven receptions for 127 yards. Reggie Wayne had 135 yards receiving to complement Harrison.\n"It has been a real emphasis to come out of the starting gate fast," Manning said. "We controlled momentum and took them out of their game."\nThe running game was efficient as well as the Colts ran for 125 yards on the ground for two rushing touchdowns. \n"We are not that overly worried about our running game," Colts head coach Tony Dungy said. "When people give us looks to run we think we're going to be able to run." \nThe post-Edgerrin James era continued with little drop off as rookie running back Joseph Addai scored a rushing and passing touchdown while rushing for 83 yards on 16 attempts. Dominic Rhodes rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown.\nIt was the Colts' defense that laid the groundwork for the shellacking of the Texans from the beginning of the game.\n"We played with a sense of urgency," defensive tackle Montae Reagor said. "We played hard and fast. We played with swagger. That's something we need to do every week."\nOn the first play of the game, Texans quarterback David Carr attempted a bootleg. The result? A Robert Mathis sack.
Second play from scrimmage, the ball is snapped. The Result? A Houston fumble. The Colts took over in their red zone and scored on their third play from scrimmage on a 10-yard Manning pass to Brandon Stokely.\nLess than twelve minutes into the game, Carr was sacked twice, the Texans had three fumbles and they were losing by 14 points.\n"We had to let them know we were coming," said Mathis, whose defense sacked Carr four times on the day.\nTexans head coach Gary Kubiak expressed disappointment in his team after its 19-point loss.\n"This is a great football team, and if you do anything to help them then you have no chance ... we definitely helped them today," Kubiak said.\nDungy stressed that the Colts made mistakes down the stretch, including an Addai fumble on the goal line and defensive lapses at the end of the game, but he promised the errors would be taken care of this week.\n"We have to clean up our mistakes a bit," he said. "But it feels good to be 2-0"
