The Hoosiers are set to take on some of the country's best -- including a nationally-ranked squad -- in the Marriott Flyer Invitational at the University of Dayton this weekend in their second road trip of the season.\n"We are playing some great teams," IU coach Katie Weismiller said. "We are still concerned on how to make IU better."\nThe IU women's volleyball team will play Wake Forest University Friday, followed by No. 22 Louisiana State University and Dayton Saturday.\nSince this weekend is a road match, the Hoosiers are going to focus on their strengths and weaknesses in order to improve their game for the Marriott Flyer Invitational.\nSophomore Juli Pierce thinks one area that needs to be improved for this weekend's match is the on-court communication.\n"During the Maryland match, our communication broke down," Pierce said.\nCoach Weismiller said the team must also do a better job of killing the ball by increasing the team's kill output. \nAs far as trying to find a major weakness in the Hoosiers' play, junior setter Caitlin Watts believes it would be premature at this point in the season.\nContinuing to pick up new things on the volleyball court and clicking as a team are two strengths for IU and are key in performing well at Dayton, Weismiller said.\n"Each match is a learning experience, and we've done a nice job of learning," she said. "Team chemistry, by far, is the greatest strength."\nBy working on their collective strengths and weaknesses, the Hoosiers hope to accomplish their overall goal this weekend in Dayton.\n"Obviously we want to win, Weismiller said. "You want to go and compete at your best," Weismiller said.
