Hoosier squads top Wildcats

Both the IU men's and women's swimming and diving teams won Saturday against the University of Kentucky. The men beat the Wildcats 175-125 at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center behind the performances of juniors Ben Hesen and Todd Patrick. Both accumulated four wins for IU, while juniors Pat Penoyar and Alex Brunfeldt each won a pair of events.\nHesen, Penoyar, Patrick and senior Lee Houchin won the 400-yard medley relay in 3:19.76.\nThe women's team also enjoyed success Saturday with a 171-127 victory against the Wildcats. The Hoosiers never trailed during the dual meet after winning the 400-yard medley relay to open up the meet. Senior Leila Vaziri, sophomore Sarah Stockwell, sophomore Allison Kay and senior Annica Lofstedt finished the relay in 3:46.10, defeating Kentucky by more than four seconds.\nBoth Hoosier squads will host Northwestern and Arizona State University this weekend at the Councilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.
