The IU men's basketball team defeated the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 74-51 Saturday night in Assembly Hall. IU junior guard A.J. Ratliff, who celebrated his 21st birthday Saturday, paced the Hoosiers with 18 points -- 16 of which came in the first half -- on 4-of-11 shooting from the three-point line. Junior forward D.J. White notched a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, while senior guard Rod Wilmont also grabbed 10 boards in the game.\nThe Hoosiers led the 49ers 36-25 at halftime. \nJunior Lance Stemler returned to action for the Hoosiers after sustaining a concussion earlier in the week which forced him to miss Tuesday night's game against Duke. IU coach Kelvin Sampson labeled the injury a "third degree" concussion and said after the game that he was pleased with Stemler's performance. The forward scored 10 points on 2-of-4 shooting from the three-point line.\nSenior guard Errek Suhr made his first start as a Hoosier in the game, but finished the night with just three points in 13 minutes.\nSee Monday's Indiana Daily Student for more coverage of the game.
