Bedroom farce – A comedy based on numerous hook-ups between several couples.\nCarpa – Popular in Mexico and southwestern United States, this type of theater is comprised of comedic sketches, puppet shows, political satire, acrobatics and dance.\nDrawing room – A comedy of verbal banter among upper-class citizens, sometimes called a “comedy of manners.”\nEpic – Characters do not represent people but different ideas, arguments or stereotypes.\nImprovisational – Actors use special techniques to present a play spontaneously. \nInvisible – This style is performed in an area where the audience is not expecting to see a play, such as in a shopping center. The idea is to create a form of public art.\nKitchen sink realism – The name originates from an expressionist painting that featured a kitchen sink and refers to a method which remains true to reality.\nMadrigal dinner – These plays are accompanied by dinner, which is divided into courses and various choral pieces.\nParticipatory – The audience interacts with the performers. \nSans Bouche – Actors perform to prerecorded dialogue to convey the emotions of the words with exaggerated facial expressions.\nNarrative – There are no actors or props, just a storyteller on the stage in a chair for the duration of the play.
