The Bloomington City Council will be introducing a new debate Wednesday night concerning three municipal parking garages. The garages in question are located at Fourth and Walnut streets, Sixth Street and College Avenue and at Seventh and Walnut streets. \nThe issues the Council will discuss are how the parking spaces in the garages are allocated and whether a company should be hired to manage the facilities. \nStephen Volan, council vice president and district six representative, said Tuesday night that the city might consider hiring Indianapolis-based REI Real Estate Services, LLC. The company would be in charge of security and facility staffing for the garages as well as general up-keep and cleanliness.\nThe Council will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall for a regular session.\nRead Monday's IDS for more news.
