Artist Lecture\nWhen: 6 to 7:30 p.m. today\nWhere: Woodburn Hall, Room 120\nMore information: Lecturer Steven Mansbach will present “Another History of Modern Art.” Mansbach, a professor of the history of 20th-century art at the University of Maryland, focuses his research on the reception of “classical” modern art from the last quarter of the 19th century through the middle of the 20th.

‘The Real Thing’\nWhen: 8 p.m. today through Saturday\nWhere: Wells-Metz Theatre\nMore information: Catch the closing performances of “The Real Thing,” British-playwright Tom Stoppard’s tale of love, marriage and infidelity. Tickets are $16 for the general public, $13 for students and seniors and can be purchased at the IU Box Office.

City Lights and Underground present: Halloween Animated Special\nWhen: 7 p.m. Friday\nWhere: Radio Television Building, Room 251\nMore information: The Department of Communication and Culture will present haunting animations from master Czech animator Jan Svankmajer, whose stop-motion work recalls surrealism, horror and comedy. The screening is free and open to the public.
