LOS ANGELES – It was a different sort of homecoming for the Spice Girls when they performed before a sold-out crowd Wednesday at the Staples Center.\nThe show marked the first time that two of the ’90s British-pop quintet’s members joined longtime bandmates in Los Angeles since permanent moves out West.\n“I love it here,” explained Victoria Beckham (aka “Posh Spice”), who relocated from Spain this past summer with soccer-superstar husband David Beckham and their three sons.\n“It’s exciting, because we have friends here, and our family is here, as well,” she told the Associated Press. “It’s exciting. It feels like home. It really feels like we’re performing at home.”\nMelanie Brown (“Scary Spice”) moved to Los Angeles in 2003. Other band members said they’ve grown accustomed to the L.A. lifestyle.\n“We’ve all been here, staying here for quite a while,” added “Baby Spice” Emma Bunton. “We’ve all fallen in love with it, as well. You might have a few more Spice Girls moving here.”\nThe Spice Girls kicked off their tour, the band’s first since 1999, on Sunday in Vancouver, British Columbia. Future stops include Las Vegas, New York and London.\nThe band also confirmed reports that David Beckham purchased each member a diamond bracelet to celebrate the start of the tour. Said Victoria Beckham: “My husband, when he married me, married all the Spice Girls, and he has to look after us all.”
