Local author Robert W. Thrasher will be at Barnes and Noble Bookstore, 2813 E. Third St., to sign copies of his book “Popcorn Road to Paris ... And Back.” \nThrasher, who at 18 was a scout for the Army in the Battle of the Bulge, wrote about his experiences in the book. Thrasher’s daughter, Nancy Sheehy, said in an e-mail she hopes to create a low-budget film based on her father’s experiences during World War II. \nThrasher will be at Barnes and Noble from 1 to 3 p.m. today to sign copies of his book.
