BHS graduate named Notre Dame Athletic Director

Bloomington High School graduate Jack Swarbrick was named Notre Dame’s athletic director July 16. Swarbrick will take over the athletic department for the school he graduated from in 1976.

Swarbrick accepted the position after working as a sports attorney at Baker & Daniels, LLP, for 28 years. He graduated from Bloomington High School before the school split into two campuses.

Swarbrick’s sports-related accomplishments include acting as the vice president for the Indianapolis 2012 Super Bowl campaign committee and the competition director of the 1987 Pan American Games.

“He has a breadth of vision of the landscape of college athletics that in my experience is unsurpassed. Jack is widely respected for his insight and integrity,” Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins said July 16.
